Disc filters consist of thin discs stacked together to form a cylindrical filter element. Each round disc features two distinct surface patterns: one side is engraved with multiple S-shaped grooves, while the other side has concentric circular grooves. By varying the size of the grooves, different filtration grades can be achieved, typically ranging from 40 to 400 mesh.During normal operation, the discs are tightly locked in place. For manual cleaning, the filter cartridge can be removed and the compression nut loosened, allowing the discs to be rinsed with water. Disc filters have a higher dirt-holding capacity compared to screen filters, resulting in less frequent cleaning cycles. They are suitable for removing inorganic impurities from water sources and are widely used in drip irrigation systems that require high filtration precision.
